Tatort Mittelalter (2022, ZDFinfo)

My first time working together with my wonderful colleagues at TAGLICHT MEDIA in Cologne. A great team that is constantly creating exciting content. This time they produced a six part documentary series on the Dark Ages.

Story:

Each of the six episodes of „Tatort Mittelalter“ deals with three historical criminal cases. With the help of a forensic experts and archaeologists, the course of the crimes are meticulously traced. Not infrequently, the experts discover that the historical tradition cannot be correct or was even deliberately falsified. But who had an interest in suppressing the truth and instead creating legends? The researchers also investigate this question and reveal how medieval „fake news“ was passed on over centuries – and is sometimes still believed today.
