FC Hollywood – Der FC Bayern und die verrückten 90er (2025, ZDF)
The five-part documentary series FC Hollywood takes viewers back to the turbulent 1990s of FC Bayern Munich – a time marked by sporting setbacks, frequent coaching changes, and tabloid headlines that turned the club into an icon of chaos and drama. The series captures personal struggles, iconic sports moments, and the dawn of modern football. Featuring interviews with legendary players like Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann, and Mehmet Scholl, as well as unforgettable events such as Giovanni Trapattoni’s infamous „Flasche-leer“ speech, it brings an era to life that continues to captivate fans to this day.
As the Archive Producer for this project, it was an exciting challenge to source and curate the extensive archival material that tells this unique story. Over the course of 1.5 years, I worked closely with an incredible team to authentically highlight the emotional milestones and defining moments of this fascinating era. The final product is a captivating journey through time that reveals an unexpected side of FC Bayern Munich and is sure to resonate with football enthusiasts.
